DIANE REIBER

I am an artist and author residing in Lincoln Nebraska with my husband and our family. I enjoy leisurely walks, board games and a good cup of hot tea.

There is a ritual I have etched into my daily routine, finding hidden or not so hidden treasures in nature. It’s almost become a scavenger hunt to seek out moments that take me by surprise or catch my breath, filling my heart with gratitude.

Painting is an extension of that. I enjoy the freedom that paint allows, with no punctuation or perfect grammar necessary, just a blank canvas ready to take in my story and share those moments.

I enjoy using water- based oil paints for their transparent and easily layering qualities. Watercolor paint is also becoming one of my favorites too. Sometimes less control over the medium and letting colors blend and create in their own way is freeing and fulfilling. 

My artwork includes landscapes, still life and some abstract pieces, always involving light. Many of these pieces have been shown in a local gallery and other businesses in Lincoln Nebraska and also featured in several issues of Oh Wondrous Grace magazine.
